World Premiere – the film “RESTAURATION" In the Wake of the Emigrants
In the summer of 1825, the sailing ship Restauration left Stavanger with 52 hopeful passengers on their way to a new life in America. The journey marked the beginning of the great Norwegian emigration.
Two hundred years later, the ship once again sets course for North America. During the voyage, the crossing is filmed to recreate the journey and the story.
Join this unique voyage on board the ship—from Norway via England and Madeira, across the Atlantic to New York in 2025. The film opens with a look back 200 years in time.
