Aboard the emigrant ship Restauration, we’re reminded that we Norwegians, too, have known despair.

We dreamed of a better life — and hundreds of thousands chose to leave everything behind and cross the Atlantic.

"Bøn fra helvete" (Prayer from hell) gives a voice to those who lived - and still live - under harsh conditions, where even prayers might have gone unheard. It’s a story of hardship, courage, and the longing for freedom.
