A Historic Departure – July 4 from Stavanger, Norway

On July 4, 2025—200 years after Restauration first sailed from Stavanger—it once again set course for North America.

The entire Royal Family was present and joined the departure aboard the Royal Yacht, sailing out from Stavanger alongside Restauration.

A grand public celebration in Stavanger ⛵️
Thousands of people gathered in Stavanger to mark the 200th anniversary of emigration to the United States. The King and Queen, along with the Crown Prince Family, took part in the jubilee celebrations.
From the Royal Yacht, they also followed the sailing ship Restauration as it set course for New York, in commemoration of the first emigration in 1825.
