Various activities on board, ranging from educational programs with schoolchildren, May 17th celebrations, and various friend sailing trips. Visits on board by professional communities, partners, historical societies, Quaker communities, and of course, an open ship for the city’s residents, tourists, and other visitors.
Open ship during the daytime on many of the days Restauration is in Vågen from May 1st to May 31st. See the schedule below.

Some of what’s happening:
May 1st: Restauration moves from Mosterøy to Vågen in Stavanger. Randaberg yngre mannskor sings Hymns on board and upon arrival around 2 PM. Welcome to greet at the innermost part of Vågen (near Fisketorget).
May 2nd: Open ship from 12 PM – 2 PM (free to come on board every day with Open ship.)
May 3rd: Open ship from 12 PM – 1:30 PM
May 4th: Open ship from 12 PM – 5 PM
May 6th: Open ship from 12 PM – 3 PM
May 7th: Open ship from 2 PM – 5 PM
May 9th: Open ship from 12 PM – 5 PM
May 10th: Open ship from 12 PM – 4 PM
May 11th: Open ship from 12 PM – 4 PM
May 12th: Open ship from 12 PM – 5 PM

– Mini concert: instrumental Irish and Norwegian folk music on deck, 5 PM – 6 PM

May 18th: Gastronomic dinner with storytelling and Madeira wine tasting.

We have students from Nylund, Våland; Tasta, Kampen visiting on May 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, and 16th. The educational program is developed by teacher students at UIS and conducted in collaboration with Stavanger Maritime Museum / MUST.
We look forward to welcoming visitors and those interested to show the ship, convey the history, and talk about the upcoming sailing trip Stavanger – New York in 2025.
And be proud and good ambassadors for Stavanger’s emigration history, especially now in the run-up to the National 200th anniversary of emigration and Migration commemorations. Both in Norway and North America.

Friend Association’s day on the ship – for all members. With social chat and good atmosphere. Welcome aboard.
Incl. review of updated Vessel Handbook and routines at 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM
May 17th (Friday):
– From 10 AM to 12 PM: Breakfast in Vågen, on board Restauration. Registration and info here. (Limited number of seats, for members of the Friend Association.)
– Meetup from 3 PM (at Strandkaien), starting at 4:00 PM:
