The hymn “Sorgen og gleden de vandrer til hope ((Sorrow and Joy)” is Restauration’s music video for the Easter month of April, performed by Randaberg Young Men’s Choir and recorded onboard Restauration.
The hymn from 1674 was written by Thomas Kingo, and may have been sung onboard during the historic crossing in 1825 …
It reflects on how sorrow and joy go hand in hand through life’s ups and downs, reminding us that there is always hope, no matter the challenges we face. (Lyrics.)
Randaberg Young Men’s Choir will tour the USA in October 2025, including a visit to New York, where they will meet Restauration upon arrival on October 9. The tour follows in the footsteps of the “senior” choir, Randaberg Men’s Choir, which completed a successful three-month USA tour in 1948, gaining great popularity among Norwegian-Americans.
