Restauration Venneforening /Friends Association has purchased the emigrant ship Restauration from boat owner Cato Østerhus for the symbolic sum of five kroner.

The ship, a replica of the ship that transported emigrants from Stavanger to New York in 1825, will sail the historic route in 2025 and participate in several events. When commemorates 200 years of organized Norwegian migration to North America.
