In 2025, the sailing ship “Restauration” will participate in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the first organized emigrant journey from Norway to North America in recent times. This anniversary, known as Crossings200, will be an important national event honoring the legacy of the first Norwegian emigrants and highlighting the strong historical and cultural ties between Norway and North America. “Restauration” will sail the historic route from Stavanger to New York and take part in a number of events as part of the commemoration, which will further promote the understanding of this significant history.
